Ouch...that's gotta hurt...(er could have hurt)! Nail right through a motorcycle tire!

I was just going through some old photos and found this scary one. This happened in September of last year when I was about to go out on a nice weekend ride with some friends. I decided to do a quick inspection before the ride and found a big nasty nail going right through the top and coming out the side of my rear tire. If you look close, you can see where it went in on top. The head of the nail had gotten some pretty good wear on it, so it could have been there for a few weeks for all I know. Needless to say, I missed my ride that day and had to replace the tire. Fortunately for me, those OEM Dunlop's held up pretty well.

Incidentally, I have to replace my rear tire again. Although I stuck to the OEM Dunlop's last time, I'm thinking about something a little stickier this time around.
